BROOKLYN - A women was killed in a crash involving a postal truck early Tuesday morning in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Police say a 52-year-old was struck by a postal truck at around 5 a.m. on Fulton Street.
She was taken to Interfaith Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Family members have identified the victim is Dorriea Campfield.
During the investigation, the truck driver told police Campfield was laying in the roadway and when he saw her it was too late to stop.
In a statement the U.S. Postal Service said, "At this time the incident continues to be under investigation. Postal investigators are on the premise."
