Woman injured in Haiti quake receives care in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN - A woman who was severely injured in the Haitian earthquake is receiving medical care in Brooklyn.

Satine Marguerite's right foot was crushed when her house collapsed during the earthquake. She received medical care in Haiti but her family was unable to afford the expenses.

Councilman Mathieu Eugene (D-40th District) was able to bring Marguerite to Kings County Hospital for treatment. She has been there for the past week.
