Woman killed in Eastern Parkway hit-and-run

BROOKLYN - A 38-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident this morning in Crown Heights, according to police.

Authorities say the woman was struck on Eastern Parkway at Troy Avenue as she was crossing the street around 7:30 Christmas morning. Witnesses say two cars were involved and that they had been illegally street racing blocks away.

Those who witnessed the accident also say one of the drivers slowed down and got out of the car. Police say they are working to obtain an image of the driver captured by a red light camera at Utica Avenue.
