Woman killed in hit-and-run in Borough Park

Authorities say 59-year-old Marlene Zotti was struck and killed by a white minivan while trying to cross the street.

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a woman in Borough Park and then fled the scene without stopping.

Authorities say 59-year-old Marlene Zotti was struck and killed by a white minivan while trying to cross the street.

Zotti was crossing Ninth Avenue just after 12 a.m. Sunday when the driver struck her. The minivan then turned onto 42nd Street and drove off.

She was taken to Lutheran Medical Center, where she died.
