BROOKLYN - Fire crews had to work through the rain this morning as they put out a fire on East 18th Street.

The flames are believed to have started on the fifth floor of the building.

Officials say one woman was seriously hurt and burned.  A firefighter was also treated for minor injuries.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
