Women: Brooklyn train repairs put us at risk

Women in Windsor Terrace, Park Slope and Sunset Park are still on high alert because of a string of sexual attacks, and with the suspects

WINDSOR TERRACE - Women in Windsor Terrace, Park Slope and Sunset Park are still on high alert because of a string of sexual attacks, and with the suspects still on the loose, there's mounting concern about how upcoming subway-repair work may affect people's safety.

The office of Councilman Brad Lander says Coney Island-bound F trains will skip the 15th Street-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Parkway stations when the work begins and won't resume stopping there until March of next year.

Julia Landau, who lives between both stops and uses them frequently, says she fears having to walk long distances at night because of the closures.

Lander has suggested delaying the station work until police make arrests in the sexual assaults. Residents march against series of sexual attacksPolice increase presence in Park Slope after string of sex assaultsNew information released in sexual assault cases
