Some universities are cracking down on the social media trend of taking selfies.

BROOKLYN - To selfie or not to selfie. That seems to be the big question as some universities take action by banning selfies during graduation ceremonies. 

The White House has also asked that visiting athletes refrain from taking selfies with the president.

News 12 asked Brooklyn residents what they think. One resident thought banning them at graduation was silly because it's a time to be proud. Others said they feel selfies are pathetic and say people are missing life as it goes by.
