BROOKLYN - The Daily News is reporting that the Brooklyn Nets will be ditching their mascot next season.

After two seasons in Brooklyn, the Nets say the "Brooklynknight" isn't returning next season. They say the team will be moving in a new direction, without a mascot.

News 12 Brooklyn asked residents what they think would make a good mascot for the Nets.

One resident said that the new mascot could be a dog because Brooklyn is full of dogs.
