BROOKLYN - Everyone has some downtime at work, but are you wasting that time while on the clock?

According to a national survey from CareerBuilder, 50 percent of employers say texting on the job is the leading cause of workers being unproductive. Gossiping came in second at 42 percent, followed by surfing social media at 38 percent.

Some unusual activities reported in the survey include employees caring for a pet bird that was smuggled into the office and shaving in the restroom.

Many News 12 viewers admit that they’re guilty of doing things from time to time that make them less productive.
