THE BRONX - Murders across the city are up more than 12 percent so far this year as compared to the same period in 2014.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says certain precincts in the Bronx and Brooklyn are among the most deadly.

The 75th Precinct in Brooklyn has seen nine murders so far, compared with four in the same time period last year.

Crime is still much lower in the precinct than it was in 1990, when there were 109 murders in just one year.

News 12 asked residents in the area what they thought about the problem.
