BROOKLYN - The MTV Video Music Awards were held in Los Angeles Sunday night, featuring some of the biggest acts in popular music.

Beyonce may have stolen the spotlight with a nearly 20-minute medley of songs off her new album. She also received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Miley Cyrus won the award for Video of the Year, but chose to have a homeless man accept the award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youths in America.

News 12 Brooklyn hit the streets of the borough to ask if residents watched the VMAs.
