BROOKLYN - Earth Day has served as a time to celebrate the environment and think about ways to preserve the planet for the past 45 years.

In honor of Earth Day, News 12 Brooklyn donned green and hit the streets to ask viewers what they're doing to take care of Mother Earth.

Most said they recycle and throw trash in its proper receptacle to keep streets clean.
