BROOKLYN - Fast food is about to get even faster.

A new payment method called iDriveThru will soon allow E-ZPass customers to use their toll-paying devices at fast food restaurants.

A device at the drive-thru window will be able to read the E-ZPass tag and charge the driver’s credit card. A receipt for the purchase will then be emailed to the customer.

Some Brooklyn residents told News 12 they would be willing to sign up for the new program immediately.

The service is currently available at several Wendy’s locations in Staten Island.
