BROOKLYN - A strike could be coming to the Long Island Rail Road, potentially causing a commuting headache.

The unions representing the LIRR workers and the MTA are butting heads about a new contract. Some of the issues involve pay, pension and health care costs for future workers.

The unions have threatened to strike by July 20 if a deal is not reached. As of Monday, unions say the negotiations between them and the MTA collapsed.

News 12 Brooklyn asked Brooklyn residents to sound off on the looming strike.
