BROOKLYN - Starting next year, McDonald's will allow customers to choose between fries, a salad or fruit as part of its value meal.

The fast food giant said the changes will happen in 20 major markets worldwide and will be fully implemented by 2020.

Most Brooklyn residents thought the change was a good idea.

"It's not a bad idea. It's healthy. People enjoy it so it's sort of the best of both worlds," says Malakyi Muhammad.
