BROOKLYN - It's the time of the year where pumpkins are everywhere in New York City.

The fall treat is used to flavor cookies, lattes, soups and many other fare. In honor of National Pumpkin Day, News 12 hit the street to ask residents what they think about the seasonal treat.

Some residents say pumpkin dishes are a tradition that they plan to indulge in for both Halloween and Thanksgiving. Other residents say they use pumpkins strictly for decorative purposes.
