BROOKLYN - Just as Black Friday is known as the best shopping day of the year, experts say the first Sunday of the year has become the best day to find a date, especially online.

The Guardian reports that online dating websites like Plenty of Fish and Match.com expect the most traffic on that day, with a spike in registration in the evening.

Plenty of Fish expected registration to jump 24 percent over the course of the day with over 81,000 new subscribers, according to the report.
