BROOKLYN - A potential smoking ban in central New York is creating a buzz among some residents in New York City.

The city of Auburn is considering a plan that would prohibit people from lighting up inside public housing complexes.

Supporters say it's an effort to protect against second-hand smoke, and there are already similar bans in other cities, including Toledo, Houston and Boston.

News 12 asked viewers if they think NYCHA should follow suit, and opinions were mostly split on the idea.
