BROOKLYN - Facebook could be obsolete in a few years' time, according to a group of researchers at Princeton University.

Researchers compared the growth curve of epidemics to those of online social networks, concluding that Facebook will pretty much die out by 2017. The social network celebrates its tenth birthday on Feb. 4.

Some Brooklyn residents are doubtful Facebook will fade away, since the social network is so interconnected with other websites and many people rely on it to see what's going on in the world.
