BROOKLYN - Google has released its list of the most "Googled" words of 2013.

Some of the world's most looked up terms were twerking, ricin, the Defense of Marriage Act, the drug Molly and gluten. The search engine's most Googled people were Miley Cyrus, singer Drake, reality star Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and Beyonce.

Many Brooklyn viewers told News 12 they weren't surprised by the top searches, and had typed in many of them themselves.

Google also has lists of other top searches, including top events, top athletes and apparel brands.
