BROOKLYN - President Barack Obama just announced that he could keep American forces on the ground in Afghanistan longer than planned.

It's the second time the president has delayed the drawdown this year.

About 5,500 troops will remain in the region in early 2017, when Obama leaves office.

News 12 asked Brooklyn residents what they thought about the delay.
