BROOKLYN - Winter has started with a blast of warm temperature, with New York setting a record high of 71 degrees on Sunday.

The previous high was 68 degrees set in 1998.

Many Brooklyn residents took to the streets to enjoy the warm weather before temperatures dip back down to normal.

Most are in unanimous agreement that, despite the irregularity, the weather was a perfect beginning to the winter season, as it also enabled them to enjoy their holiday shopping.
