BROOKLYN - Officials say the construction worker killed in a building collapse in midtown Manhattan Friday is from Brooklyn.

Authorities have idenfied the construction worker as 26-year-old Pedro Bacilio. They say he died after the interior of a building being demolished caved in.

They say another worker was trapped for three hours before crews were able to rescue him.

Officials say 17 other workers escaped unharmed.
