BROOKLYN - A wrongfully convicted Brooklyn man is free after spending two decades behind bars for murder.

In 1989, Jonathan Fleming was convicted of murder in the Williamsburg shooting death of Daryl Rush. Fleming said that he was in Florida the whole time.

An investigation by District Attorney Kenneth Thompson unveiled new evidence. Fleming's attorneys say the investigation shows a key witness was pressured by cops to identify Fleming as the killer in exchange for a dropped felony charge.

The DA investigation also turned up a phone receipt confirming that Fleming was in Florida at the time.

Fleming said he was going to spend his first night as a free man having dinner with his family.
