Yankees get jump on Orioles with 7-2 win

BALTIMORE - The New York Yankees headed to Baltimore over the weekend for their first postseason game after earning the AL East title.

The team grabbed a 1-0 start in the first inning against their division rivals, but the Orioles came back strong and kept it tied at 2-2 in the ninth.

Russell Martin performed well under pressure, and pulled the Yankees ahead at the top of the nine. They managed to tack on five more points before ending the game, 7-2.
