Yankees plan Friday tribute to Steinbrenner

NEW YORK - (AP) - The Yankees plan a tribute to GeorgeSteinbrenner tonight when the team returns home for thefirst time since the owner's death.

The team says there will be pregame tributes to Steinbrenner andlongtime public address announcer Bob Sheppard before New Yorkplays Tampa Bay at Yankee Stadium. The ceremony will include avideo tribute to Steinbrenner and a moment of silence in honor ofboth.

More ceremonies will take place at Old-Timers Day on Saturday.

Wreaths will be placed in front of Steinbrenner's statue outsidethe stadium and at Sheppard's plaque in Monument Park.
