BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn mother is facing several charges as doctors treat her 2-year-old son, who is severely bruised after an alleged beating.

Yayun Weng, 27, of Sunset Park, allegedly beat her son with a bamboo stick so badly that more than 90 percent of his body is covered in bruises. She is being charged with two counts of assault, endangering the welfare of a child and menacing, among others.

Police say she brought her son to Maimonides Medical Center Thursday night to be treated, but doctors called them after discovering the wounds.

The hospital listed the boy in critical condition upon his arrival, but there is no word on his current condition.
