(09/05/12) BROOKLYN - It's back to school time for Catholic school students in Park Slope, but things will be slightly different at Saint Saviours.

The school is opening its doors as an academy school for the first time, instead of a parish. That means the school is now run by a board of directors, not the pastor.

Children lined up outside, excited to greet their principal after a long summer break.

Classes for their first day will only run until noon, but the kids will have a full day starting on Thursday.
