Police: Man offering to sell bystanders guns from his waistband gets tackled by officers

A Lakewood man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to sell some bystanders guns that he had tucked away in the waistband of his pants.

A Lakewood man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to sell some bystanders guns that he had tucked away in the waistband of his pants.
Lakewood police say that 47-year-old Arturo Cuahutle-Flores approached some bystanders near the Self-Service Car Wash near Ocean and Park avenues Tuesday afternoon and showed them handguns that were tucked away in his pants. Police say that Cuahutle-Flores offered to sell the guns to the bystanders, who called police.
Authorities say that when officers arrived, Cuahutle-Flores refused to surrender, prompting the officers to tackle him to the ground to arrest him.
Police say that Cuahutle-Flores allegedly possessed three guns. He was taken to Monmouth Medical University for injuries he received in the altercation.
Cuahutle-Flores faces several weapons charges. Police say that additional charges are pending.
