GERRITSEN BEACH - A trampoline class at Champion Fitness Center in Gerritsen Beach has many people bouncing away the pounds.

The gym, owned and operated by three generations of the de Angelo family, added the class a year ago, and it has grown in popularity ever since.

“It's a great interval workout that engages all your body parts, targeting your core, and even toning your arms,” said Ann Marie de Anglo. “It's the perfect exercise for those always on the go.”

Participants can burn up to 500 calories during classes.
