BROOKLYN - Some Brooklyn residents are grateful to have been able to spend Christmas in church counting their blessings.

The Holy Family Church in Canarsie is not only a place of worship, but also a FEMA recovery site.

Canarsie was hit hard by Sandy this past October, and many parishioners are still recovering from the damage left behind.

The church had a special holiday dinner for parishioners and people in need in the community.
