BROOKLYN - News 12 is counting down the top five stories in sports from 2012.

Coming in as the best story of the year is the Nets' big move to Brooklyn. The Nets are the first major professional sports team in the borough since the Dodgers left 55 years ago.

Other top stories include the death of Nazareth High School's girls basketball coach Apache Paschall, Erasmus Hall's first football title in more than 60 years and U.S. Olympic swimmer Lia Neal's return to Fort Greene with a bronze medal.
