Opponents of the controversial Brooklyn Heights Library sale argued Wednesday that the temporary library at Our Lady of Lebanon Church is not properly accessible for patrons with disabilities.

One such patron, Justine Swartz, says its hazardous to enter the facility through a handicapped accessible entrance that's also used as a driveway by church employees.

Swartz says the entrance also lacks an automatic door and that the path is unpaved.

The city sold the library's original location in Cadman Plaza West to a private developer who seeks to turn it into a mixed-use building with a new library on the ground floor. The temporary library opened last week.

A library spokesperson says the facility is looking into whether any improvements can be made.

Love Brooklyn Libraries Inc., a group that has protested the sale numerous times and sued the city in an attempt to block it, alerted News 12 to the issue.
