Teen volunteers clean up Bensonhurst streets

High school students and young residents were out Saturday for the annual Bensonhurst cleanup.

Assemblyman William Colton recruited young people to clean up their own neighborhood after receiving complaints that a popular shopping area had become dirty and unwelcoming.

The team of 50 - armed with shovels, gloves and garbage bags - swept away debris and garbage for several blocks.

The teens tell News 12 they are motivated to work since they all live in the area.
