A 100th anniversary celebration for the National Park Service brought a range of celebrities to Brooklyn Bridge Park Monday.
Bill Nye, known as TV's 'Science Guy,' gave a speech and a DJ set by Questlove rocked the crowd.
The event featured interactive and educational games, including a giant sundial that had information about national parks around the United States.
"These were thing set up by government action 100 years ago," Nye said. "We want the parks to be here 100 years from now."
Brooklyn Bridge Park is not included among the more than 400 national park sites around the country, but officials say they chose the site because it encourages people to interact with their urban environment.
