The once-bustling Moore Street Market has fallen on some tough times, according to vendors there who want help from the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
Only a handful of shoppers were in the area Wednesday afternoon when News 12 cameras arrived, and there are vacant stalls every few steps along the way.
The market has changed ownership several times over the past few years, but is now managed by the NYEDC, which says it will support the vendors by investing more than $1 million over the next few years.
NYEDC also says it will promote cultural events in the area to draw more people in.
