Crown Heights woman with disability goes missing
A 56-year-old Crown Heights woman who has an intellectual disability has been missing since the weekend, her family says.
Ella Windley was placed on a bus late Saturday night and expected to come home, but she did not, according to family members.
They say Windley's niece put her on a B43 at the corner of Tompkins and Myrtle avenues around midnight after a party that involved drinking.
The niece told the driver to have Windley get off at the stop near the children's museum, but Windley's brothers say she doesn't know how to travel on her own and has limited reading skills.
She has gray hair in cornrows, is about 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds. She was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police.
