9/11 victims from Brooklyn remembered at ceremony
Responders who died in the 9/11 terror attacks were remembered at a special ceremony at Borough Hall Tuesday.
The ceremony honored 17 people - nine firefighters, seven EMTs and one technician - who died due to illnesses sustained during and after the terror attacks.
Four of those honored were from Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams says he plans to continue holding the event each year in light of the fact that hundreds of those killed were from the borough.
A total of 127 FDNY members have died from illnesses as a result of 9/11.
