Arrest made in fatal stabbing of Brooklyn mother

Police have made an arrest in the deadly stabbing of a Brooklyn mother who was killed in front of her 9-month-old son.

Investigators say they arrested 20-year-old Shenia Williams in the death of 22-year-old Joanna Beauzier during a fight yesterday.

It happened just before 1 a.m. on Lotts Avenue.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the 22-year-old with at least one stab wound to her chest. She was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

The city Parks Department says Beauzier was enrolled in one of its job training programs.

Beauzier's son was not injured in the incident. Officials say he is being looked after by family members.

Williams is facing second-degree murder charges and possession of a criminal weapon.
