Pet owners brought their furry friends to the annual Saint Francis Day with a Blessing of the Animals in Brooklyn Heights Sunday.
Father John Denero, rector of St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Church oversaw the annual blessing of the animals.
Pets that have died also had their names read and a prayer said in their memory.
Attendees say their animals bless them with love and compassion so they want to make sure their pets are blessed in return
