Best of Brooklyn: Moshine The Don
A rapper from Brooklyn who directs, produces and creates art says he considers himself an entrepreneur.
Moshine The Don, 28, has worked with famous names like Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Ne-Yo and Mary J. Blige. The musician, whose real name is Maurice, says his beats are his canvas.
"Instead of being just the average artist that just wants to make music and just put a tape out there, I want to just try to set a new trend making music and see if I can also incorporate film into it," he says. "It gives it more of a visual."
"I don't think people are taking the time to really be creative and I think that's my personal opinion that's what I think is really missing so because I have the skills with you know performing arts cinematography and film why not put it together."
Moshine is currently working on a film in Dumbo called "Fymam4," which stands for Forever Young Making a Lot of Money Forever.
The film is expected to be released in February.
