Giants players, students revamp park for annual Hometown Huddle
New York Giants players met with elementary school students at the East Garden Success Park Monday for the 18th annual Hometown Huddle.
Janoris Jenkins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Donte Deayon and 100 other volunteers spent the afternoon revamping the park with Brooklyn Gardens Elementary School students. Work included painting murals, building garden beds and exercising.
The nonprofit organization United Way of New York City says it helped provide the tools for students to improve their lives and the community.
The goal of the event was to encourage kids to live a healthier lifestyle and push students toward success.
