Officials: Man struck by train at Newkirk Plaza subway station

Subway service was temporarily suspended Tuesday after a man was struck by a train at the Newkirk Plaza subway station.
It happened around 6 a.m. after the man somehow made contact with the train, and first responders lifted him from the tracks a short time later.
The man was transported to the hospital with injuries, according to officials.
The MTA temporarily suspended Brooklyn and Queens train service. The MTA says the northbound Q trains are running express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park.
Service has since resumed with delays.
