Brooklyn artist creates mobile, high-rise hotel

Brooklyn artist Alex Schweder wants you to rethink your next hotel stay.
Schweder, who calls his work "performance architecture," has created a hotel on wheels big enough for one person. The simple, all white room is held up by steel beams stretching several stories into the air, enabling guests to take in spectacular views.
"I've had about six or seven people spend the night in the hotel and it's a way for them to experience the site in a new way," Schweder said.
The hotel has traveled to cities including Miami, Detroit and Seattle, where it visited the Frye Art Museum.
Schweder told News 12 he will only let you stay in the hotel "if he likes you."
