Family displaced after fire in Bed-Stuy home

A fire in Bedford-Stuyvesant Monday night damaged a home and left the family living in it displaced.



More than 45 firefighters battled the flames at 450 Halsey St.



The family who lives in the home says they were at home when the fire broke out in a bedroom on the second floor.



Firefighter say it took them around 40 minutes to get the blaze under control. They say there is significant damage to the home's second floor and water damage downstairs.



The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
