P.S. 251 holds mock election for students

Children hit the polls a week ahead of their parents this elections season, thanks to mock elections taking place at schools across the country, including P.S. 251.
Principal Sheldon Noel says the kids were happy to be a part of the national program for the first time.
The mock Election Day was designed by company Studies Weekly. Its CEO, Ed Rickers, says the event encourages kids to learn about civic responsibility and ask important questions at home.
Election Day proper is next Tuesday, Nov. 8.
