Neighbors: Construction crews working too late at night
Loud construction noise at P.S. 3 on Jefferson Avenue is keeping neighbors from getting enough sleep, they say.
Construction crews at the site have been working until as late as 11 p.m. sporadically for the past two to three months, residents say.
The vibrations have also knocked loose some bricks in an adjacent building, according to residents.
"There's no reason why I should have to hear jackhammering, drilling and all kinds of construction noise at 11 p.m.," says Okema Moore, of Bed-Stuy. "That's not fair to us. I pay a nice hefty set of taxes to own my home here, so does everyone else. We should be able to have quiet when it's time for bed."
News 12 Brooklyn reached out to the Department of Education but has not yet heard back.
