The Hasidic community is mourning the loss of a 21-year-old man who was struck and killed Thursday by a tractor-trailer in Williamsburg.
Hundreds lined the streets for the funeral of Moshe Weiner, who was clipped by the wheels of a tractor-trailer and dragged about 20 feet. The incident happened on Kent Avenue. A witness says Weiner got out of his car after parking and was struck.
Weiner, who was recently married, was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan.
The driver of the truck remained on the scene, but was later allowed to leave by authorities.
Weiner will be buried upstate in Monroe.
