Police say two suspects violently assaulted and tried to rob a man in Cypress Hills.
They say two men approached the 61-year-old as he was getting into his car on Jerome Street on Thursday.
One suspect pulled out a gun and demanded money, as the other suspect went through the glove box.
Police say the armed suspect then hit the victim in the head with the gun multiple times before both suspects fled empty-handed.
The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition with cuts and bruises to his head and face.
