Group helps parents in need find perfect gifts for their kids
A charity group held a toy drive Wednesday in Downtown Brooklyn to make sure families in need have gifts for their children for the holidays.
From dolls to trucks and games, Santa's workshop provided families with personal shoppers who helped pick out the perfect gift for children.
The shopping experience was provided by Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens.
Iris Rodriguez, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, is unemployed and has six children. She says her kids would not be able to have Christmas if it weren't for the toy drive.
Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens also handed out $25 TD Bank gift cards that were intended to be used to buy gifts for older kids.
